How to: Train Your Sailebot®

Teach your Sailebot by classifying responses in Starboard’s Train My Sailebot.

Updated over a month ago

Why you’re seeing uncategorized responses:

  • Your Sailebot processes inbound responses in real time. It categorizes and replies automatically only when a confidence threshold is met.

  • When the threshold is not met, Sailebot will ask for your help to classify the response.

  • Each decision teaches your Sailebot, so more messages are classified and handled automatically over time.

Think of it as “Use this moment to train your Sailebot.”

What you’ll do (at a glance)

  1. You’ll be notified in the left sidebar when responses are ready to classify.

  2. Click the banner to open a full‑screen panel that lists the responses.

  3. For each item, choose the best label from the dropdown.

  4. Once labeled, the item moves to its normal tab (AiQL, Positive, Objections).

Time commitment: most teams clear the list in a few minutes per day.

Step‑by‑step

  1. Open notifications
In Starboard, look for the left‑sidebar notice “Responses to classify,” and click Review now.

  2. Review each item
    Read the reply.

  3. Pick a label
Use the dropdown to select the label that best matches the reply’s intent.

  4. Save
The item moves to its destination tab automatically: AiQL, Positive, or Objections. Your queue shows the next item.

  5. Done
When the list is empty you’re finished. You can return anytime when new items appear.

✏️ Pro-Tip: If you are torn between two labels, choose the more specific option. When in doubt between Positive vs Objection, use Positive next step only when there is clear forward momentum.

Notifications you’ll receive

  • Sidebar: “Responses to classify” appears with a badge count.

👀 Coming Soon: A brief email alert with a link back to your classification panel.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I do not classify my events daily?

If an item isn’t classified after five days, it moves into our team's queue for processing so responses do not sit without action.

Will this train the model?
Yes. Your selections are used as labeled data so future responses are auto‑classified more accurately.

How quickly should we classify?
Daily is ideal so your follow‑ups stay timely.
